Competition terms

The championship is organised by EXPERT LASH S.R.L., CUI 49124478, trade register J12/4913/2023, registered at Str. Anton Pann nr. 14-16, Corp B, parter, Cluj-Napoca, jud. Cluj (“the organiser”, “we”).

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You must work in eyelash extensions or lash lifting, as an artist or a trainer.
• You enter as yourself. An account belongs to one person and is not shared, sold or transferred.
• Members of the judging panel may not enter works in the edition they judge.

The edition runs at four levels — Junior, Master, Expert and Trainer. You declare your level once per edition, and you compete only at that level.

Your level locks the moment your first entry is paid. Before that you can change it as often as you like. After that, only the organiser can move you, and only in writing, with a reason recorded.

The lock is not administrative fussiness: without it, a participant could declare Junior, buy, move to Master and buy there too, and the levels would stop meaning anything.

If you believe you have been placed at the wrong level, write to us before you pay. We may grant a documented exception; it is recorded with the reason and the person who granted it.

• Each level offers six nominations: Classic 1D, 2–3D Volume, Soft Volume 4–7D, Mega Volume +7D, Special Effects and Lash Lift.
• One paid slot gives you the right to upload one work. Buying a nomination twice gives you two works in it, judged separately.
• You may hold at most eight works in an edition, across all nominations. The limit exists because the panel has to be able to judge them all, and it counts works — not nominations, and not how much you paid.
• Free nominations earned through invitations count towards the same limit.

Entry is sold in pricing waves. The wave that applies is the one active at the moment you pay, and the price is calculated on our servers from that wave — never from anything sent by your browser.

• Bundles apply automatically. You are never asked to choose between paying per nomination and buying a bundle: you are given whichever costs you less for the number of works you selected.
• The price you paid is frozen on your order. A later wave, cheaper or dearer, never changes what you were charged or what your invoice says.
• Prices are in euro and are final: the amount shown at checkout is the amount charged, with nothing added afterwards.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. A fiscal invoice is issued for every paid order and is available on your order page.

Every participant gets a personal invitation link. When someone creates an account through your link and then pays for at least one entry, that counts as one invitation.

• Three paid invitations earn one free nomination, of your choice, applied automatically as a discount on your next order.
• A person counts once, however many entries she later buys.
• At most three free nominations per participant per edition.
• The invitation is recorded when the account is created through your link, so send it to someone about to sign up rather than months ahead.
• You cannot invite yourself, and invitations that did not result in a paid entry do not count.

We may withhold a reward where we have reasonable grounds to believe the invitations were fabricated — for example, several accounts under one person’s control. We will tell you why.

Uploads open after entries close; we email you when it is your turn. A work must be your own, produced by you on a real model, for this edition.

• No retouching that alters the lash work itself. Cropping, straightening and colour correction that does not change the result are fine.
• No work that has been entered in a previous edition of this championship.
• No images generated or materially altered by AI.
• The model must have agreed to her photographs being used as described in our photo policy.

A work that misses the upload deadline is not judged, and the slot is not refunded. A work that breaches this clause is disqualified; where the breach is deliberate, we may disqualify the participant from the edition.

If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Entry to a judged competition is a service: once judging has begun on your work, that work has been consumed and the right no longer applies to it.

In practice:

• Before uploads open — write to us and we refund the unused slots in full, within 14 days, to the card you paid with.
• After you have uploaded a work — that slot is no longer refundable, because judging preparation has started on it. Slots you have not used are still refundable.
• If we cancel the edition or a nomination you paid for, you get that money back in full, whatever stage we are at.

A plain email saying you have changed your mind is enough; there is no form you are obliged to use. If you would rather use one, the model form is on the withdrawal page. Write to contact@expert-lash.com either way.

A free nomination earned through invitations has no cash value and is not refunded. If an order that used one is refunded, the reward returns to your account instead.

The judging model is unusual and worth understanding before you enter.

• A judge does not grade a whole work. Each judge is given one or more criteria and scores them across every work in the nomination, so the same eye applies the same standard to all of them.
• A few criteria — penalties and bonuses — are scored by every judge assigned to the nomination.
• Your final score is the sum of all criteria, with penalties subtracted. The grids and their maximums are published with the nomination.
• Judges see an entry code, never your name. This is enforced by the system, not by instruction: judges have no access path to participant identities at all.
• If a judge has to be replaced mid-edition, the scores already given stand. Nothing is rescored to suit a new judge.
• Ties are real and are published as ties. We do not invent a separator.

Scoring is a matter of professional judgement. We will correct arithmetic and administrative errors; we do not re-open a score because you disagree with the judgement behind it.

• Results are published after judging closes. Until then no ranking is visible to anyone outside the organising team — including judges.
• Prizes are announced with each edition. Where a prize is a sum of money, any tax on it is yours.
• A prize is awarded to the participant, personally, and cannot be transferred.

If you think something went wrong, write to us within 14 days of the results being published, saying which entry code and which nomination. We answer within 30 days.

We are responsible for running the competition as described here and for delivering what you paid for. We are not responsible for your equipment, your internet connection, or your model’s availability.

Where we are liable to you, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the edition. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including for death, personal injury, or anything caused by our own gross negligence or intent.

How we handle your personal data is set out in our privacy policy. How your photographs may be used — and what needs your separate permission — is in the photo policy. Both form part of these terms.

We may change these terms for future editions. The terms that apply to you are the ones you accepted when you paid; we do not apply new rules retroactively to an order already placed.

These terms are governed by Romanian law. If you are a consumer you keep the protection of the mandatory rules of your own country of residence, and you may bring a claim before the courts there.
